ARCHIVE NOTICES

Lingfield Surgery Opening Hours - From November 14 there will no longer be Saturday morning surgeries. However pre-booked appointments are available from 7.20am – 8.00am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Congratulations -The College of St Barnabas Autumn Fair last week raised an amazing £2,400. Several people from St Peter and St Paul’s church attended.  Generous cake makers from St Peter and St Paul’s church and also St John’s Dormansland enabled the cake stall to raise £175.00.  The money raised will go towards new chairs in the Nursing Wing, making window seats in the Common Room and towards some of the social events and outings which are arranged by The Friends of The College of St Barnabas.

Sunday 4th December. Christingle and Toy Service. Please come along and bring your children to this  service for all the family. We are looking for new toys for disadvantaged children for Christmas. To find out more about Christingle,  how it started and what it means, please click here

Stewardship of Time, Energy & Money – On Sunday 4th December you will be given a second opportunity to think about what you do in the life of the Church and to review those things. It has been over three years since we last did this and the PCC feel this will be a good time – the beginning of a new Church Calendar Year – and in the light of the fact that we have a number of new folk showing a growing interest in the church and being involved.

Church Roof Appeal -WE’RE THERE ! Click Roof Appeal for the latest news.

East African Crisis -Christian Aid is responding to the humanitarian crisis and has launched an emergency appeal to help people affected. To find out more, or to donate, click East African Crisis

Please help us save Lingfield Library - The status and viability, along with 10 others, is under threat from Surrey County Council which has to make savings in its budget. If SCC made savings across the library service, then there would be no reason to threaten these 11. We need signatures on the website www.SaveSurreyLibraries.org (then click on “Slam Petition” link), as soon as possible. 20,000 names are needed to force SCC to debate this serious situation properly. Please sign up as soon as possible and ask your friends and colleagues to do the same.   Rita Russell, Guest House Trust Advisory Committee.

Southwark Pastoral Auxiliary (SPA) and Reader Training – Anyone interested in either SPA ministry and training or Reader ministry and training, please speak to Dilys Southgate (tel: 01342 832795) in relation to SPA ministry or to Mary Garman (tel: 01342 832651) in connection with Reader ministry..

Congratulations to The Friends who raised £1250 at the annual Open Gardens day. Click The Friends for more details and what’s coming up soon..

The Church Fete Committee send a huge THANK YOU to everyone for coming along and supporting the fete.  £6,002 was raised for the Church Roof Appeal. Click Church Fete for more news and photos.

Christian Aid Week – The total collected in Lingfield was £3098.04. Many thanks to all who helped deliver and collect envelopes, those who gave generously and the children with their fund raising efforts. Richard.
